What does giving God everything mean to me?

Saints have given God everything. St. Francis is an example. Am I asked to do exactly what St. Francis did or does God have a different plan for me? Father Mike many thoughts about this, including his opinion that we should give God each moment by conscientiously being present to God for that moment.
